This fund is established for the operations and sustainability of a family- friendly free community event that occurs annually, on the weekend after Labor Day in September in downtown Hazleton, PA. Funfest is coordinated by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce. 2017 marks the 39th annual Funfest coordinated by the chamber and a committee of dedicated volunteers who work year round to produce the successful event. The two day street fair includes entertainment, parade, and events for participants all at no cost. Local community non-profits participate and benefit from the two day event as a means to raise funds for their organization. As the largest quality of life event in the Greater Hazleton area that is free, we rely on the generosity of donors and sponsors to make the event possible. The establishment of the Funfest fund will allow our sponsors to invest in the free family friendly event while receiving the benefits of a tax donation.
