About Richard MaslowBack Mountain resident and former InterMetro CEO Richard Maslow is the recipient of the 2010 Mary Bevevino Community Service Award.

Maslow has long been a dedicated supporter of community services in the Wyoming Valley, where he as lived for over fifty years. He was a founding director of The Luzerne Foundation and founder of the Maslow Family Foundation, Inc. which provides regional funding for organizations in the area of arts and special needs education.

Maslow has been an enthusiastic supporter of regional higher education during his tenure at InterMetro, and as director of the Maslow Foundation. Among the many scholarships he has endowed are the Louis and Frances Maslow Scholarship at Wilkes University, the Maslow Family Foundation Scholarship for Women with Children at Misericordia University, the MLB Scholarship at Kings College, the Penn State University at Wilkes-Barre scholarship for children of Metro employees, and the InterMetro Industries Corporation scholarship at Cornell for the School of Hotel Administration. As a longtime art lover and collector, Maslow has also taken the opportunity to create the Maslow Collection at the Marywood University School of Visual Arts in order to put the Maslow Collection to good public and educational use.

Maslow currently divides his time between Florida and the Back Mountain. He has six children and eight grandchildren.
