Association of Fundraising Professionals NEPA Chapter – The AFP Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter provides education and resources for nonprofit organizations in the areas of fundraising, professional development, and philanthropy education.
NEPA Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center – The Northeastern Pennsylvania Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 affiliate agency of NEPA providing assistance to nonprofit organizations and communities in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
Pierpont-Welde Library Collection at Luzerne County Community College – The Pierpont-Welde Library Collection includes 36 selected works on fundraising and philanthropy, representing the fundamental knowledge base of the profession. A listing of collection contents may be found here.

American Institute of Philanthropy – The American Institute of Philanthropy (AIP) is a national charity watchdog service whose purpose is to help donors make informed giving decisions.
Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance – The BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s primary purpose is to educate donors. While the Alliance does not recommend one charity over another, it offers valuable information about specific charities and publications to help donors make their giving decisions.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy – The Chronicle of Philanthropy is a newspaper, in print and online, for charity leaders, fundraisers, grantmakers and other people involved in philanthropic enterprise.
Council on Foundations – This national association of foundations and corporate giving programs serves the public good by promoting and enhancing responsible and effective philanthropy.
Charity Navigator – Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator, works to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace by evaluating the financial health of over 5,400 of America’s largest charities.
Foundation Center – The Center fosters public understanding of the foundation field. This site includes the “Foundation Finder,” a listing of phone numbers and addresses for thousands of foundations, as well as an orientation to grantseeking, an introduction to proposal writing, links to foundations, websites and more. GuideStar – GuideStar gathers and publicizes information about nonprofit organizations. Any nonprofit in the database can update its report with information about its mission, programs, leaders, goals, accomplishments and needs. GuideStar combines the information that nonprofits supply with data from several other sources.
Independent Sector – A nonpartisan coalition of approximately 600 organizations, Independent Sector serves as a leadership forum for charities, foundations and corporate giving programs.
Innovation Network – Innovation Network is a nonprofit evaluation, research and consulting firm, helping nonprofits and funders learn from their work to improve results.
Internal Revenue Service – This searchable database includes all nonprofits that are registered as charities with the IRS.
National Center for Family Philanthropy – The National Center for Family Philanthropy promotes philanthropic values, vision and excellence across generations of donors and donor families.
