District A Fund
District A Fund's Mission
The District A Fund was created to support efforts toward improving the quality of life for the residents and citizens of the City of Wilkes-Barre. Funds are being raised to maintain, repair and improve the existing municipal and community facilities throughout the District, as well as to enhance the safety and security for all residents.
Goals of the District A Fund include:
• Increase the current level of security for all residents
• Increase the current level of cleanliness and maintenance services that make up our infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance our existing recreational facilities
District A Fund Projects
The District A Fund will review and consider any suggested project that is within the District A boundaries and is within the scope of our objectives. Anyone may submit a project for consideration through our website. These suggested projects will require a majority vote from the established committee, and if approved, funds would be raised and used to satisfy the objective. Only one project will be undertaken at a time. Each project will also be submitted for approval to the City of Wilkes-Barre and the appropriate authorities.
